Trophy Child addresses success driven mentalities that can sometimes sneak into parenting and challenges parents to encourage kids to pursue a relationship with God above all else.
-The Christian Parenting Handbook by Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller: Because who doesn’t need a handbook for life? The Christian Parenting Handbook gives guidance and advice on several different parenting issues. In this book you will learn how to identify character qualities to address problems, build internal motivation, and use creativity to teach your kids spiritual truths.
-Pass it On by Jim Burns and Jeremy Lee: Pass it On is a book designed to give practical help to parents in passing down their faith to their children. My Faith Box:
-My Faith Box/Book: The My Faith Box is designed to help you as a parent pass your faith down to your kids. Similar to a baby book, the My Faith Box is filled with pages to write in information about your child. However, the My Faith Box is designed for you to write in different things about faith as well. It is designed for both you and your child (when they are old enough) to write in it what God has done and what your prayer is that He will do. As a parent you get to write down every year what you are praying for in your child’s life while your child gets to write in important millstones in his or her faith. The goal of My Faith Box is to be able to hand your child the box when they turn 18 or get married. At that point the box will be full of information from the past. They can see what you were praying for them about when they were 5 or 15 years old. They will also get to see their faith progression and hopefully be encouraged to continue to live for the Lord.
